Project Background

YYOGA and the Colours for Calm Campaign project intends to bring light to some of the mental problems, particularly anxiety-based ones, that plague modern-day society. In an ever-growing world, the more problems we solve, the more issues evolve to challenge that success. Due to this fact, the Colours for Calm campaign will produce a colouring book which will be designed to enlighten people about alternative options to improve their mental and physical wellness in a holistic and long-lasting way, through yoga and creativity.

Challenge

The Colours for Calm campaign needs to design a colouring book that will serve as a touch point to highlight and expose people to the significant role that yoga and creativity can play in improving their mental well-being. The finished product should serve as a valuable resource for individuals to turn to as a way to release emotions, achieve mindfulness and improve their mental wellness. The colouring book needs to fit cohiesivley with YYOGA’s existing brand persona and serve as an asset for the company to aid and further expand their audience.

Inspiration

Inspiration is drawn from YYOGA’s existing brand persona. Assets from the brand such as shapes, patterns and colours are to be utilized and incorporated into the colouring book. Soft curves and organic shapes are incorporated throught the designs, and photography of yoga and meditation will inspire illustrations. Holistic and mental well-ness practices will influence other interactive content within the book. The theme of calmness, will inspire the layout and design by keeping in mind the significance of clear space and line weight in this specific campaign.
